Ministering At Sunset Ridge

The purpose of our Benevolence Ministry is to follow our Lord’s example in serving the needy of our community.

Community Benevolence – This ministry is designed to meet short-term needs such as food, and limited financial assistance.  We intend to provide follow-up support and education where possible.  Requires a referral from a caseworker or community social worker.

Agape Ministry- A neighborhood ministry supported by many churches in the Northeast part of San Antonio.  Agape runs both food and clothing distribution programs. 

Medina Children’s Home – We provide monthly financial assistance to this residential care facility for children ages 5-17, who are dependent, neglected, and abused.

Family Violence Prevention – Our monthly support helps purchase fresh food items for residents.

Child Protective Services – We contribute monthly to the “Dare to Love” program which provides shoes to needy children.  We also assist with emergency needs of families in crisis.

John Abraham Christian Relief Fund – Our monthly check helps furnish four Honduran school children with clothing and supplies.

Special Projects – During Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays we try to meet special needs of the community.
