CHAPEL WINDOW UPDATE A few weeks ago, we informed the congregation of a serious problem with the large window on the west wall of the Chapel. Thus far, we have had an evaluation of the wall by a structural engineer. His report indicates no movement of the building. A tree expert has informed us that the very unusual and endangered Italian Cypress trees that flank the chapel wall have not compromised the foundation. Both of these reports are good news. We have just last week received a proposal for the repair of the window and surrounding stonework. The elders are now reviewing the contract, insurance coverage, etc. To date, we have received $55,600 in contributions toward the approximate cost of $200,000. If you are able and willing to contribute towards this project, a separate account has been established for such contributions. We appreciate your ideas, thoughts and concerns. We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the window repair.
