MISSIONS

The purpose of the Sunset Ridge missions program is to foster partnership in the training and support of indigenous missions to proclaim the gospel and initiate people into the Kingdom of God throughout the world.  Current Mission efforts by the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ include:

Michael Feria – Sunset Ridge supports Michael, who lives and works for the Lord in Monterrey, Mexico.  Michael, who is gifted by the Lord as an evangelist, is active in several different evangelistic ministries - among which is the nurturing of satellite congregations in cooperation with and under the oversight of the elders from the Jardin Espanol congregation in Monterrey.  For the last two years groups have gone from Sunset Ridge to Monterrey to assist with construction and/or vacation bible school efforts. In May of 2005, this effort involved the remodeling of a building to be used as a church in the La Noria neighborhood. 

Honduras – For a number of years, groups from Sunset Ridge have gone to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to work with the Iglesia Misionario de Cristo, whose minister is Moises Chino.  We have done construction projects and have assisted with medical brigades. We have close relationships with the brothers and sisters at Iglesia Misionario de Cristo.

Encouragement – Members of Sunset Ridge pray for and send notes of encouragement to the ministry leaders in our sister churches in Monterrey, Mexico and Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both of these churches are vibrant and growing and the servants of the Lord there need our prayers and encouragement.  They remember us in their prayers – should we not do the same?  If you are willing to participate in this ministry please contact.
