WOMEN REACHING WOMEN

At Sunset Ridge, women are invited to join together to celebrate and live the life to which Christ has called us. Through the planning of the Women’s Committee and other volunteers, there are many different opportunities to explore God’s Word, to fellowship with our sisters in Christ, and to join together to serve others in our church and in the San Antonio community.

WEDNESDAY MORNING CLASS

From early September to the middle of May, women of Sunset Ridge meet to study God’s Word. A variety of subjects, teachers, and teaching strategies are used in order to meet the diverse needs of the class. In addition to class, the women enjoy field trips, a book club, participate in a card ministry, prepare baskets for shut–ins, and support other local outreach programs. Fellowship and class meet from 9:30 am-11:00am each Wednesday. Childcare is available for participants.

Come Fill Your Cup

Each fall, the women and their guests are invited to spend an evening in Praise and Worship as we celebrate being sisters in Christ and deepen our friendships. Along with great fellowship, we also enjoy Gourmet Desserts and a Coffee and Tea Bar.

Celebrations of the Heart

Each February a Valentine Luncheon and Program is planned for our women and guests to have fellowship and celebrate our connections of the Heart. A time of singing and worship is followed by a catered luncheon, and provides a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better.

Ladies Retreat

In the Spring of 2007 we will have a Retreat at John Newcomb’s Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. The Retreat Committee is busy planning an overnight stay to help us get away from our daily schedule, focus on our spiritual growth and  deepen our relationships with each other. Women of all ages are invited to join us for this special event.

A monthly dinner fellowship open to all women

MOTHERS SUPPORT GROUP

A quarterly dinner and program to encourage and support mothers of young children.
